Interesting you mentioned air filter and no carpet. For some time I have been thinking that my CHs are allergy related. I've had them for 11 years and always at the change of seasons in Autumn and Spring in Australia. Recently obtained an air filter and about to get a dehumidifier. Already have tiles on floor.
