Re: Old men, I had my first C/H at 18 yrs. and was a very occasional drinker. My 2nd bout at 19 was in college and no one knew what to do with me. But the local drug store( liquor mart) was a block away and vodka looked promising to my innocence, I remember some relief but also some 10+ attacks and a bout that seemed to go on for months. 3 years ago I quit drinking anything alcoholic. Still have C/H but also appropriate meds. Aside from addiction concerns I believe Alcohol always exxacerbated my episodes. And at 39 I still think myself a younger man.
