Jeff,
Imitrex and O2 are the "drugs of choice" among most CH sufferers. I use Cafagot because it has longer lasting effects, BUT used too often can cause rebound headaches.

DHE-45 is good for breaking a cycle. Taken every 8 hours will keep HAs away, BUT the side effects are not great. It makes you feel like hell and takes a while to get out of your system when you quit taking it.

Drinking lots and lots of water (see Dr. Jerry's Water Treatment in the archives) helps a bunch of us.

Depression is normal during a siege and most docs give antidepressants. I take Effexor.

Guess what I'm trying to get at (and taking the long way around to do it) is what works for one might not work for you. But with trial and error you can eventually find what works for you. We're all different and react differnt to different treatments.

Go back in the archives of this site and read what has worked for others and print out info and take it to your doctor. Keep trying until you hit on something.

And welcome to the family.

Hugs BD
