David, I am a professor who suffers from CH. I always keep imitrex injections handy. A couple of years ago a student came to me to explain why he had missed some classes. He began to give a description of CH without naming them. I suddenly shouted, "YOU HAVE CLUSTER HEADACHES!!" I grabbed him and hugged him, and by the way scared the hell out of him. After I explained, I told him that I would run interference with his other professors, and I did and made them all understand the problem. The student became one of my good friends and he just graduated in May. I don't know it this story will have any relevance for you, but sometimes it helps to just explain the facts to someone.
