Why did you leave education?? I left for about 6 years, but returned. I found consulting to be far to removed from human contact and actually helping others in the first person. I wish you luck in your chosen field. I hope you are prepared to interact with adults who often have less humanistic views and more imature motivations than the kids you taught. If you are leaving for the $$$$$ to support the family, so be it. I doubt it was an easy choice, but one you needed to make.
