Kim,

I definitely experience jaw pain during a CH and sometimes it is the first thing I feel when getting a CH. I actually was tested for TMJ, at first thinking that my be the root of my problems. The day the test results came back negative was also the first day I went to a chiropractor.
My chiropractor has helped me immensely, I know I've said it before here, but I'm saying it again. Chiropractic isn't for everyone, but in my case was the only thing to really calm the beast. My chiropractor has also done the "inside the mouth massage", and I too, find it difficult not to laugh. But honest to God, it helps!
The other thing that helps, if I feel a CH coming on, I take Norgesic Forte (a muscle relaxant) and constantly apply ice to my neck and head.
My headaches are now few and far between, as long as I occasionally go the chiro and massage therapist, and keep ice packs around. I feel like a new person, especially when reading some of the posts written here and remember what the consant fear was like.

Hope some of this info helps.
-Merri
