Having used Stadol for a few years now, like anything else, you need to get used to it and understand what it can and can't do. Yes it is a synthetic narcotic. Frankly, it is NOT that bad once you get used to it and understand its effects and I have found to be a helpful complimentary abortive. Alone it won't abort a severe CH but inconjunction with say Indocin I find that it quickly takes the edge off while the indocin takes effect. To me it works better than say Migronol or Imitrex but hey, we're all different. Note that Stadol should only be used, from my experience, no more than twice daily and 2-3 times a week at most. Early on you will experience some disorientation, wild dreams (kind of like Nicotine pathces if you've ever been down that road) and restlessness, but that "diminishes over time" - heard that one before. Use-up the first bottle or two and then re-evaluate its impact on your lifestyle. Good Luck ...
