Hello. Well, my self inflicted, impending doom of being interviewed on television about Cluster Headaches is quickly approaching. Two different local television stations on Monday, July 19, 1999 will interview me. I just had a nightmare about the whole God-awful event tonight. It went like this:
Reporter: “Hello this is Robin, medical reporter from channel 10 news. We are at the home of drummer, a Cluster Headache sufferer. Drummer, what is a Cluster Headache?”
Drummer: “I have no idea Robin.”
Reporter: “You DO suffer from Cluster Headaches, correct?”
Drummer: “Yes, absolutely I do. I have had these things just about every day for the past 15 years.”
Reporter: “OooooKaaaaaay. Then what exactly IS a Cluster Headache.”
Drummer: “Not a clue Robin.”
Reporter: “Ok, fine. Then what does a Cluster Headache FEEL like?”
Drummer: “It hurts really, really, bad.”
Reporter: (sigh) “Can you elaborate any MORE than that?”
Drummer: “Ummmm? It hurts really, really, REALLY bad?”
Reporter: “You know drummer, you called US for this interview. Is there ANYTHING else you would like to say about Cluster Headaches?”
Drummer: “Uhhh. No, that pretty much covers it.”
Reporter: “FINE! Larry, grab your camera and get into the van. Let’s go.”
Larry: “I TOLD you we should have interviewed the migraine sufferer.”
Reporter: “You’re right. This guy is obviously an idiot.”
Drummer: “Bye Robin.” “Bye Larry.”
