Hi All,
This is my first time posting here. Did a quick internet search to see if I could get info on cluster headaches and voila! I first experienced cluster headaches in my twenties. Had a couple of comparatively short episodes, which were diagnosed as cluster headaches by my family doctor. I remember him giving me cafragut (sp?) at the time, which scared me half to death. Ended up taking one pill when awakened one night, and then they went away for about 20 years. My last bout was five years ago. As soon as I lay down, didn't matter what time of the day or night it was, bang! It lasted for about two months and I was a walking zombie! I don't know what triggered it, but am finding the information on circadian rhythms interesting. My summer schedule is pretty light and I find myself gravitating towards late nights and sleeping in. During the last bout, my doc tried Norgesic Forte which did nothing. I was also getting massage and chiropractic, which also did nothing. They finally went away on their own. So, now, they're just starting up again. I guess I'm fortunate in that they don't usually last too long. Seem to go away in 10-15 minutes of being upright. Of course, then I'm afraid to go back to bed. Vicious cycle! So, am going to try some of the home remedies mentioned on the list and see if that does anything, before I run to my doctor. At any rate, it was great to find this site and I'll keep you posted as to my progress (or lack thereof.
