A few weeks ago, drummer called me one day at work. We'd never spoken before, but in some small way my post about contacting my local tv stations had contributed to drummer's doing the same. I'm sure most of you saw his posts about that.
drummer is the first clusterhead i've ever spoken to. it took about 1 nanosecond after he identified himself in that call for me to feel as if i was talking to my best friend from high school. we've spoken a number of times since, including earlier today just before the tv showed up at his house. i've got plane tickets in hand to fly up to NY a week from tonite.
drummer, i always knew you could do it, and put the rest of us to shame in the process. i can't wait to see a tape of your interview. we WILL gradually get the word out. civilians (my term for non-CH'rs) WILL eventually understand, and we WILL get the attention, research and progress that we need. and when we do, it will be because of people like you, who bite the bullet, screw up the courage and press themselves into uncomfortable situations, making personal sacrifices for the greater good.
I'm proud to call you my friend.
I'd say 'I luv ya, man' but I might get sued and I definitely won't get any residuals.
