I can't imagine laying down when in the arms of a CH. In fact, even after the pain subsides it still takes an hour or two before I would even try it.
My neuro has two questions he asks - HAve you ever thought of suicide? and What do you do when a HA hits? He said if the patient says "lays down in a dark room" he diagnoses Migraine NOT CH.
My son has migraines and has to lie down in a dark room and try to sleep until it passes. I can't imagine anyone trying to make me lie down while I'm having one. I get really pissy if anyone even suggests it.
But like someone said - different strokes for different folks. Hope CH doesn't get "fashionable" and misdiagnosed. That would defeat our efforts to get the word out.
