I'm like Hal. First cycle (1983), I tried laying down. I made it through my very first ever CH that way, but it was agony. My instincts said run, scream, beat my head, etc, but my supposedly logical mind decided that was wrong. (So much for logic).
I guess I can see how each might deal with the demon differently. I've walked into enough walls to understand those concerns. But for me, laying down not only defies unstoppable urges, it actually seems to increase the ferocity of the demon. He likes to watch me walk myself into total exhaustion.
And I agree about the ladies in the office. I can't imagine the odds against 3 CH'rs working together (outside of OUCH, of course). Elaine is the first CH'r I've ever spoken to, and you are the 2nd, drum.
