I have not had a chance to read all responses to "confused" post, so I may repeat here. When I first started getting these headaches, they were simply an ache above and around my left eye. I was about 15 years old. I got the headaches almost daily until 21 when they were almost as bad as now. I am now episodic, thank the Lord! As I went through six years of miss-diagnosis, the cluster headaches increased in pain intensity, until I was getting the tearing eye type of deal. Always 1 hour in the AM like clock work. Still I could function - pace, lay down, drive, or whatever, and bear it out. I have since attained the ultimate headaches and multiple times daily! Perhaps some of these folks are not near the "10" level yet. Prayers for all, Rich
