I was diagnosed with TMJ a couple of years ago. I ended up with a light dose of that from grinding my teeth when I sleep. Do a search for a TMJ clinic. I went to one and was fitted with a mouth gaurd that I wear when I sleep. The pain is VERY different from CH, located more in the joint area of the jaw. There are some simple treatments for it including eating soft foods, not chewing gum, icing the jaw area and putting the tip of your tongue against the back of your upper teeth. This causes you to hold your teeth apart as they should not be touching when you aren't eating or speaking. It helps retrain the muscles to hold your jaw in the correct positioning.

I haven't had any TMJ problems since I got my mouth gaurd and try to keep aware of the tongue thing when I'm going through stress. Now I just wish something could be done so easily for the CH! Maybe a brain guard of some sort! heh

*hugs*
