Matt, Interesting. I also have a little warning signal that alerts me that a biggie is on the way. My scalp tickles and itches about 15 to 20 minutes before I start to feel the ice pick in my eye. Although I've only been experiencing my first ever cycle, (started July 9), I'm learning fast. If I can get to ice as soon as I feel the tickle, I can keep the pain down to a 2 or 3. If no ice, I go into at least a 5 or 6 level. As said, I'm REALLY new at this, but, for what it's worth, if you know your body well, sometimes you might be able to pick up on something early on which will help you get through the later on.
