You sound just like a regular person to me. The only human being who’s not supposed to make a mistake is the Pope and, even then, it’s supposed to be only when he’s talking about certain things under special conditions.
Here’s a story that you may appreciate. I have a good buddy that I’ll call “John,” who happens to be gay. We used to work together in Watertown, Mass. One day, he came in about a half-hour late. He explained that he and his boy friend had spent a long weekend partying in Greenwich Village, so that John not only had had to drive straight from New York City to work, but also obviously had had no time to get any sleep. So, without giving it a second thought, I blurted out: “Gee, John, you must be all fagged out!” Not exactly the words that I would have used, if I had stopped to think about it, butb you don’t always stop and think about it.
