Good comprehensive article on diagnosis, treatment, and prevention which you can print out and give to your doc. While it's aimed at migraine the meds recommended are commonly used for CH also.
Follow this sequence: www.ama-assn.org; select "migraine" at the bottom of the opening page; then select "clinical guidelines and resources"; then "diagnosis and management guidelines"--this is the underscored title of the article; then to bottom of page and select "full text". This will take you to another site in Canada. Print out the whole document, 24 pages. Then go back into the text and print out separately tables 1 to 4 which have dosing information on medications.
