Yeah, on those occasions when I get into REM without a CH coming on, the dreams can be pretty intense. The beast showed up in one of them. I was at a cocktail party with a pleasant group of people when the door opened and a hideous creature stepped in and began scanning the crowd. "HE" was bipedal (2 eyes, 2 arms, 2 legs) and that was about the extent of his resemblance to a human. I was curious as I looked at him, and then our eyes met and he instantly broke into a huge uninhibited smile and blurted out "I LIKE YOU! It was at this point in the dream when the recognition of who he was, struke me with a cold chill that went to the core of my being. When he sensed my shocked reaction, his smile disapeered as though he realized that he had made a mistake in giving away his identity. He struck me as very primal and unintelligent. He existed just to feed upon those that he found to be tasty, without any remorse for the suffering that he caused. I then woke up and needed to sit up and do some processing. I think that the symbolism of this dream may resonate with some of you, and I certainly couldn't share this with anyone except for you other Clusterheads out there in cyberspace.
