Doc Greg says not to do it if it's Calan SR (slow release), says it exposes the center of the pill and defeats the SR. If its regular Calan/verapamil no prob.
Personally, if he's weaning off it I can't see the reason not to cut it in half even if it is SR. He's not trying to maintain the level in his system but rather to decrease it.
