Lady,
I would guess that going off the methylprednisolone (must have prednisone in it?) started his cycle. I was on prednisone for over 3 months, and when I went off, I started a cycle, after being without CH for 2 years. I went back on the prednisone, but it didn't help. I just had to go through the shadows of tapering off of it again.
I don't know what to tell you about misplaced anger. I need to be alone when I'm having a CH. I try to be very civil in staking out my private pain space, but I'm definitely not my best self when I'm having an attack.
Maybe you are angry at him because his attacks are making you feel vulnerable and helpless, and you are afraid to feel either. So you blame the source the trouble, and then feel guilty about it.
These CH will go away in a while, and then your life will get back to normal. Try to be your best self during these times, and then you can look back on them with a sense of accomplishment and not guilt . . . easier said than done, I know.
Good luck to you and your husband.
Steve W.
