i don't mean to offened you or anyone here. But these are some things I
Have learned During Rich's Doc's appt's and Brain Surgery.
DO NOT LET THE DOCTORS INTIMIDATE YOU!!!!
THIS IS YOUR LIFE AND FAMILY.
My oppinion. This doctor is here to treat my family..He will answer ANY question I HAVE wether he
feels it is nessasary.THIS IS MY FAMILY.
Last year 3 hrs after the surgery a nurse came in
and yanked the bed sheet. Rich was in so much pain
The look on his face utterly frightened me. The nuse commented
oh did I hurt you. At that moment I realised this is the love
of my life I would not allow anyone to treat him badly
if he was well. And I was damn sure not to let anyone treat him this way
when he was Sick!!!!I won't tell you what I said to the nurse " But I will say he never touch
the sheet again".
When our doc wants any thing done.I research it.
Last week Rich's white blood count was High. I asked why would it be high? Doc
it could be the medss? Okay will we take the test again.
The results were high again. Why is it high doc? Oh it could be the meds.
My reply is it the meds or not? Okay we will do more testS What are the tests?
Why excatley are we doing this. How long does it take to get the results back.
2days. Okay I will call in 2 days.
I know this may sound dumb.
But when you really think about it. This is your family and life. ( he goes home to his)
If you were well would you let someone treat you or your family this way?
Our doctor is really great and he and his nurse have learned that I ASK QUESTIONS.
Dumb as they may sound they are still questions that i need answers too.
We have become friends with our doc and his nurses...so their not intimadated my me
and im not with them.
Also write your questions down so you remember when you see him.
Before we see the doc I ask Rich, What have you been feeling?
I write down EVERYTHING he says and tell the doc. (I've gone in with a list as long as your arm)
Don't be shy about telling him everthing that you feel.
This is just somthings I have learned.
I pray no one takes offence to what i've written.
But I am a supporter, I will speak for Rich when he can not.
