Dawn,
you need to find a neurologist that your husband feels cares about his pain. Once you have found one, stick withhim.
I have finnally found an awesome neurologist here in Nashville Dr Sharlin. He cares and "LISTENS" That is the key, good communication with your Doc. My Dr has helped me reduce my attacks by 80%.
If you write to the national headache foundation they should have a list of people who specialize in headaches...then you will just have to try until you find a doctor/neurologist who works well for you.
You also probably need to go to a neurologist any way, and get a diagnosis and ask for it on paper so when these misguided idiots acuse you of being a junkie you can shove that peice of paper under thier noses.

Don't give up.... you will find a medicine that helps him it just might take a couple of cycles to realize what works for him.

I hope you have medical insurance if not get some. some of these Neurologists will cost you $200 upwards for an hours visit.
I pay $20 with my co-pay and my insurance costs me $83 per month...
It's well worth it.

Good luck.
