Not a good day today. He had one this morning that aborted almost immediately - he was so proud of himself...then around 7 p.m. another one, bad one this time. So bad that he begged for the ambulance, so we called one and they took him to the ER. The doctor there was nice, seemed knowledgeable....gave him intravenous Reglan and it seemed to give immediate relief although he was already in the shadow stage by then. They released him and we came home to another CH, hard on the heels, a bad one but atypical in that he was shivering instead of sweating and it didn't start the way the others have. Also it didn't last as long. Sigh. I called the neurologist on call for our neurologist for the second time tonight and he was NOT helpful. All I wanted to know is if he could take his Maxalt with this CH after just having had Reglan. The neurologist suggested that my husband take 2 Extra Strength Tylenol or 2 Aleve, for Christ's sake. Then he asked what did I want of him - and I'm afraid I was not, at that point, very nice. It's hard to be nice when your best friend is screaming the house down. The neurologist finally did say that my husband could have another Maxalt (the third today, and the last he can have today), but I got the distinct feeling he was very reluctant to tell me that.

Anyone else have experiences with Reglan? It obviously didn't work for us...

Lisa
