My doctor knows about Imitrex but won't prescribe it to me for fear that I might have a strong reaction (heart attach?). His suggestion is to go to the emergency room when I have an attach and then talk the ER into giving me a shot. Yeah right! I neither want to have a lenghty drug discussion with the ER people during a 10 nor have to do the wait in the lobby while we deal with the folks with a simpler problem!
My Dr. doesn't want the liability. I even suggested he simply "shoot me up" in his office and see how I react and he said he couldn't. He was afraid that if something went wrong he would get into trouble for injecting someone without a problem. He is generally sensitive to my CH but this is one time I can't get anywhere with him.
What can I do?
