Mine are also the opposite. They usually hit an hour or two after I wake up, generally around the time when I have just started work. I got them back in school too, and it was the same back then. They always hit in my second class. I have very rarely gotten them at night. Sometimes though if I am drinking a lot of caffeine, I can get up to two or three "rebound" headaches in one day, at any time of the day or night.
