As Lee M pointed out it is for heart troubles. But someone found out by chance that it also reduces the number and severity of CH attacks. Verapamil is the first choice as preventive for CH. But, as usual, drug companies save the money it would cost for the necessary test to get FDA approval for CH and therefore they supply no information re CH (They can rake in the $$$$ from us anyway). By the way, we are taking 2-3 times the dose than heart patients.
