There are side effects and there are SIDE EFFECTS!
Almost all drugs have some side effects and these may include such things as dizziness, constipation, headaches, water retention, etc., etc, and they tend to be of short duration, are not life threatening and leave no damage to our internal organs or systems. Then there are SIDE EFFECTS! and these things include kidney failure, diabetes, bone loss, etc., etc. Unfortunately , much of the cluster headache medication falls into the latter category.
I would never take any medication without learning everything I could about it. After considerable risk assessment I would opt to take it or leave it alone.
