I just spent two-hours this morning looking at the medical literature on treatment. Found several reports that: Imitrix works in about 10-15 mintues for cluster; success rate at high as 95%; that a injected dose of 6mg gives excellent results and there isn't much, if any, advantage of using 12 mg.
One report is not conclusive but--have found one article reporting that the nasal spray Imitrix doesn't work as well with Cluster as with migraine. Might discuss this with your doc to see what his experience has been.
