Okay, i hear drummer and elaine saying 'here he goes again' as they roll their eyes. I have noticed, both here on the board and at drummer's mini-convention, that clusterheads seem LESS likely to drop into depression than other chronic illness sufferers. Is this a coincedence or does the structural difference in our brains have a part in this? Toss in the (apparent) high average of creative and above average intelligence clusterheads seem to exhibit and it becomes more interesting. Both highly intelligent and highly creative people are typically MORE susceptible to emotional difficulties.
So, my theory? The courage it takes to handle clusters (especially for our chronic sisters and brothers) pain, misunderstanding of the medical community, general public and often blood families, also engenders in us a commitment drummer expressed best -- "I WON'T let the demon win the war, even if he does take a few battles"
Keep the shiny side up
