While Stadol alone is nothing but a pain management measure for sure, I find it works well in conjunction with other abortives. I have been using it periodically for the past 4 years with a indocin (as mine originate cervically - that's a pain in my neck). Stadol does lose its luster over time if you use too much so some down time is suggested. I find that it, like any nasal spray (migranol, imitrex, et al) works within 10 minutes but of course all these things depend on when you hit your CH - wait too long and nothing works.
