I've had quite a bit of success with Imitrex injections. I've been lucky to not have had a bout of clusters in about 2 yrs. now. But when I was having them my Dr. prescribed them for me. I was usually able to get it to take effect within 8 min.s of the shot. The pill form did'nt cut it for me. I was taking 1500 miligrams of VICODIN just to to be able to wait for the Imitrex pill to work. I was chewing the VICODINS to make them work faster. Too many times I was ready for a "Lead Aspirin" the pain was so bad. I hope this info will help. I would'nt even wish "Clusters" on my Ex-wife.
