Jeff can breathe as much oxygen as he wants to! (I'm a sufferer, not a doctor remember)
I keep two 90 gallon oxygen tanks at my house especially for those middle of the night headaches. It can take a little bit longer than I'd like sometimes, but usually it works within 15-20 minutes. I've sucked BOTH of my full tanks dry in a few hours before with no side effects.
I have noticed that O2 can sometimes give me the "rebound" headache that we love so much. If I keep breathing the O2 for about 5-10 minutes after the h/a is gone, it usually keeps the "rebound" ones from happening.

BTW, what Ralph said about the Imitrex is sooooo true. It works within 5-10 minutes EVERY time for me too. If Jeff is able to take it (because of the side effects), it is a fantastic option that you may want to look into.
