I take Imitrex tablets at the onset of a CH
(these take about 1/2 hr to work),
and Imitrex injection if I catch the CH too late
(ie, if it wakes me up I'm already well into it).
Initially I thought that after weeks and months
of the Imitrex, I was actually rebounding from
the medication.
What you need to keep in mind is that during your
series of CH attacks, it is very common to have
3-4/day, medication or not.
I know this because I suffered for years
with no treatment, and the CH came just that
way, in clusters.
My neuro does not think I am rebounding.
