I'm 36...male....15 years chronic Clusters. Tried many medicines from doctors as well as medicines from the Health store. Tried some (darvocet)(sp?), I believe a narcotic. Didn't work. Will never try it again. I stick to things that "work". Preventative, harmless medicines that reduce attacks from 5-7 per day to 1-2 attacks per day. ie: Verapamil, Neurontin. Abortive of choice for me is O2. Alcohol, doobage, and narcotics seem to be bad for my Clusters. Have not had doobage in 12 years. Like I said narcotic once. And if I want to "dance" with the "demon" on my schedule and my terms; well, I'll drink a beer. I don't do this too often. Great question!
