I have tried tylanol-3, codeine, percacet, butalbitol, vicodin as prescriptions. The only thing that even touched the pain was the vicodin. It never removed the pain completely but made it so I could function. As far as the ER goes I have had much luck with Dilaudid. It does wonders for killing the ch imediatly but I need it at max high dose to be effective and it nocks me out for a day or two. At least the pain stops then.
