Claudette:
1) Change pharmacists and pharmacies. I don't know the ethics or protocal behind what a pharmacist can and can't do, but I would think he/she would bring up his concerns with you first. My pharmacist has done that repeatedly because of the number of different meds I am on. Then, if I have any questions, I call my doctor. Not him or her.

2) Since he will not see you anymore, can he speak with your neuro to try to get in soomer?? I would think that if your doctor called expressing his concerns and that you need to be seen asap, the neuro would "squeeze" you in. As they say, drs. stick together, and if he told your neuro the situation you were in, he might see you sooner.

3) Can you get into another neuro in the area sooner than 9/25? I know insurance is a big reason, but I have always said that if the best neuro in town wasn't on my insurance provider list, I would still go to him. (And have) I'd figure out how to pay him. My health is more important than the $$. And, even if he isn't on the provider list, can you still get reimbursed from your ins. co. if you do the paperwork? That's what we had to do for a majority of our dr. visits. It was a pain in the neck, but we did get reimbursed. And it didn't matter who I saw. Now we've switched to my work's ins., and all 6 or 7 of my drs. are on the provider list!!

Just some thoughts.

Cathy
