For what's it's worth, my husband's neurologist is
Dr. Alan Rapoport with the New England Center
for Headache in Stamford. He and his colleague, Dr. Sheftell, are well-known and well-
respected for their headache worknot just in this
country, but throughout the world. Dr. Rapoport
has used Ritalin for migraine sufferers, but he said he has never tried it on cluster sufferers.
I talked to him about Dr. Mellick's trial with
Ritalin, and he was most interested and recep-
tive. He said he was more than willing to try it
on my husband, if Zomig did not work. Well,
Zomig did not work. I have sent Dr. Rapoport
a copy of Dr. Mellinck's report and am waiting to
hear from Dr. Rapoport. your doctor sounds
like a jerk. Dump him for someone more open-
minded about clusters. My husband's episodic
clusters changed to chronic more than 6 six
years ago, and he has not had a pain free day
since then. We have been everywhere and
tried everythingl, and have had to resort to nar-
cotics. What can be more addicting than
Demerol or levo-dromoran?
Good luck to you.
Regards,
Cindy cormier
