hi richard, i enjoy drinking beer very much. my wife and i sit on our deck in the evenings, talk, and have a couple of drinks. there are times when i think the beer has triggered a ha. i would put down the beer, go for the imitrex, and in a short while everything would be back to normal. many times i would go back to my beer and conversation, with no further h a's. i have also given up all alchohol for a week at a time, and still got the ha's. so i've decided to live my life the way i want to. however i do not get a h a, every time i drink, and my h a's have never switched sides. you don't mention using abortives, when you get these alchohol h a's. what do you do to get rid of them? when this has happened to me, i've used both imitrex or 02. i've had no side affects that i'm aware of, but i am not a dr. and this may be more dangerous than i know! i understand the depression. these things used to dictate when i could leave the house. in the past i missed many things , including a few of my daughters softball games. now i carry imitrex everywhere i go. i'm no longer afraid to leave the house. good luck to you
