Hi, I have had luck with cold as many others do. When I start to belive that an attack is coming on, feeling it brewing, feeling bitchy I try to inhale the air in the freezer, big deep breaths, in through my nose and out my mouth, also I keep frozen wash cloths in the freezer, run them under the tap till soft and icy and rub then all over the side of my face and neck, this often can halt an attack, its even better if you can ddo this in front of an AC.My husband has a special way of massaging my head in the early phases than can sometimes stop the attack, but when it is fully underway, its too painful. I am trying Grape Seed extract tablets, along with b vitimins and magnesium, my husband heard it on the radio as a remedy for headaches. Indocin is my drug of choice for the Cluster, I have also gotten relief from rubbing liquid Benzocaine on the roof of my mouth and gum line to numb some of the pain from full blown attacks, try Ora-jel. If someone told me cat dung behind my ears would help I'd try it, hate taking medications as many do. Necessity is the mother of invention....feel well
