When I was episodic, it always took at least a month to get back to some semblence of normalcy. I think the meds just take time to get out of your sysytem.
But think about it. If you have surgery and are in pain for a few days, it takes a while to get your strength back. Now take two months of SEVERE pain - sure it takes a lot out of you. And when the pain stops, you are worn out physically and mentally. A month doesn't sound like too long to get over everything.
Now if you're chronic ... well that's entirely different. You STAY this way!
