Tiredness after an attack: haven't found a solution except to rest. As signaling an attack: I use ergotamine sublingual tab for an attack and find it useful (if used carefully) to block the develop of attacks. Developing CH is a series of "electric" pain shots in the L-eye for hours or a day before a full blown CH-then I start the ergot, 2-3 tabs a day.

David is on target about Verapamil to prevent/reduce frequency but you must use it daily for this purpose. It takes up to two months to before fully effective.

His suggestion about learning about the variety of meds used for treatment and prevention: absolutely!
