It sure seems you're dealing with more than, as you stated, ". . . just these damn headaches." It seems as though you and your boyfriend may be dealing with his depression. Anger and "giving up" (whether he admits he's given up or not) sure are signs of depression. At this point, I worry more about you. Since he clearly doesn't want your help though you are so kind to be providing it, let the man own his illness and take the consequences for that. You need to, "Let go and let God," as the saying goes. When you quit taking responsibility for his condition, he just may begin taking it. The aggravation for you probably isn't worth it.
