Sometimes the soft pak ice paks give some comfort.
Most of the time I prefer a hot washcloth, but a great deal of the time I can't stand to have anything touch my face, head or neck on the right side. The ice or heat seem to comfort most after the pain peak while I'm on the down side of the pain.
