Well, the responses to my post were as varied as the people writing them; but at least I know one thing, and that's that you guys really do seem to care! And for that I thank you all. I've got some major thinking to do. Now that I'm a bit removed from the situation I am convinced that I CAN be a good supporter, it's just a matter of learning how. Some of it comes naturally to me (as a Christian I believe that each of us has certain God-given gifts, and some of mine happen to be empathy & mercy, both needed in being a supporter) but there are aspects to be a clusterhead supporter that just surpass all other experiences! So thanks for all your advice and support. Everytime you give me advice you're helping Bryan too. Oh, and one last thing (for now!) when I said that Bryan finds my prayers "humorous" I didn't really mean that the way it sounded...he NEVER laughs at my faith, he just doesn't share it. And it's sometimes a bit much for him when he's rolling around on the floor and I'm trying to pray over him. (I've learned now to retreat and pray in silence. Works much better.) Bryan has always displayed the utmost respect for my faith, and we've had numerous discussions regarding it. He's even come to church with me a few times and we've had some really good meetings with one of my pastors (as long as a person displays some signs of intelligence, Bryan doesn't care WHAT they are; he'll find something about which to talk to them!) Anyhoo, I once again thank you all.
Prayers,
Jen
P.S. Pete, you can certainly have my fries if you want them, but I'd warrant they were a little more than "soggy" by now! :)
