I'm 43, working on 4 yrs of CH. My doc says that I've reached the chronic stage. I quit believing that when I found this page and realized there are people who have it worse than me. I haven't kept records until recently, but I would guess I'm into a 15 month "cycle" and counting. I've been headache "free" for the last four weeks!!!!! 600mg of Lithium daily has done it so far. I don't like the side effects, but I can function in life now. I know how you and your husband feel. These monsters can make a meek person tough or a tough person meek. I've been both. I like the get tough approach better. Hang in there, you will find a way to cope.
