I've always heard that one of the mind's defense mechanism's is to make it 'impossible' for humans to actually 'remember' or mentally re-create the sensation of pain. Now, I'm not saying that I can actually re-experience the pain of a CH later on, but I surely can remember precisely how it feels and how intense it is. Am I challenging another widely held medical precept or just having another of my frequent flights of fancy?
