From everything that I have read my interpretation is as follows: Prozac, as an anti-depressant, "inhibits" the bodies use of serotonin (it would probably make more sense to say "regulates" but I didn't choose the terminology) - making sure it gets to where the body can benefit from it the most. 5HTP goes one step further and tells the body to produce more serotonin, so the body gets the amount it feels it needs. Anyone else agree or disagree?
