It's 830 am here and I've been checking the board for the past 1/2 hour. Ever since my wife came into the bedroom to announce that she's reached her limit and she's filing the papers this week.
I've been sort of half reading, with my mind on other things, mostly of a self-pitying nature.
Then I read this.

I felt those same feelings of helplessness, anger, frustration and fear in Rochester, when I knew Elaine was out back dancing. When Dave got 'that look' in his eyes and headed in to his cluster room. When kip spent hours walking around the hotel in the early morning hours. I thought about what it must be like to be a supporter. I thought, just like DJ, how I could never do that. I looked over at Laurie (drummer's wife) and Heather (Elaine's daughter) and realized I was seeing two of the strongest people I've ever met.

DJ, you are truly a class act. You once shared your original post about the breakup with Kelly. Like most of us, I clearly remember your "I'm single, again" post, and the comment "That's something I never thought I'd ever say". The depth of your love for Kelly was apparent to all of us. The strength of character it took for you to pick up the phone, call her, meet her and thank her is unbelievable. I hope that meeting helped you take a few more steps down the closure road.

When I grow up, I want to be just like you, DJ.
