Your alternative clinic might be in Ann Arbor, MI. The Michigan Head and Neurological Institute is a chief competitor (if you will) of the Diamond Clinic. Their in-patient care (at Chelsea Hospital) is pretty good. Having tried it for a couple of weeks and noting the observations from fellow sufferers who had been to Diamond they seemed to be much happier at MHNI. I will tell you though that when I was there I was the only CH patient - another one left the day I arrived so it kind of sucked to have to interact with Migraine patients who have a different challenge on their hands. Look em up on the web www.mhni.com if you are inclined to seek reputable facilities. I, however, find more value in this site than all the neurologists put together over the last 14 years of my CHs. We can only pray that some day Glaxo, Pharmacia, and the rest will commit enough funding for sustained research with clusters and not just migraines ... Good Luck to you!
