I have been a HA sufferer for about 5 yrs. My diag was made at the NEw England Ctr For Headache in Ct. I do not get short headaches, my sometimes last hours. I have the runndy eye, stuffy nose, total involved demonic pain rt sides, it often occurs at night and awakens me, I have shadows often. I can not move barely while under attack, I can often barely care for my children. I cry, I get depressed, I get hopeless. I have researched my medical concerns, and sought help at a reputable ctr here on the east coast. My medical team was headed by MDs who specialize in headpain, who oversee an inpatient unit just for headpain, they have also authored many books on the topic. Their conclusion was cluster headaches. Here is the glich....they only drug that has ever helped me is Indocin. I can't help to feel sometime that when I say Indocin helps me that alot of persons discount that I have CHs, this is hurtful sometimes, somtimes I wonder if others think I do not belong here because "I probaly don't have Ch", I don't know perhaps I should seek out somemore renound MDs who can either discount or confim a diag. In reading your post I have a flashback to when a neurosurgeon told me perhaps all this is in my mind.. Sorry if you feel "slammed" it was not my intent.
